Clary sage is the go-to essential oil for female complaints. It can help reduce the symptoms and negative effects associated with menstruation like cramping, bloating, mood swings, hot flashes, and food cravings by balancing the female hormones. In addition, clary sage can help with depression, chronic stress and anxiety by increasing your sense of joy, pleasure, self-esteem, and confidence. It is also known to reduce blood pressure. Use with a carrier oil as an all natural deodorant!

HOW TO USE:
Aromatic – Add 3-4 drops of oil to distilled water and diffuse; inhale directly by cupping your hands around an open bottle and breathe in deeply through your nose.
Topical – Directly apply 1-3 drops of oil to the area of concern, the temples, or reflex points (this oil can be applied “neat” with no dilution, or dilute using a carrier oil for people with sensitive skin).
Internal – Place 1-4 drops in a capsule and drink with a full glass of water, or add a few drops as a flavoring in cooking. Children under the age of six should not take clary sage internally.
Children – Safe for children over the age of six with proper dilution.
For people with sensitive skin, Wellness Warrior suggests diluting essential oils with a vegetable-based carrier oil, such as raw coconut or jojoba oil. This oil should not be used in children under the age of six and should not be used internally if pregnant. This oil is known to lower blood pressure; use with caution or consult your health care provider if taking medication that lowers blood pressure.
